This two-day conference will focus on addressing national trends in prosecution, crime prevention, and criminal justice strategies. The program will feature experts from around the country including prosecutors, community advocates, and academic specialists. Through a combination of moderated panels and breakout sessions on specific topics, we hope to share the vast knowledge, experience, and innovation of our peers in the criminal justice community. | This presentation will address how the District Attorney’s Office can provide assistance to LGBT crime victims. At times LGBT crime victims have difficulty taking advantage of traditional support systems like family and friends. Some may feel vulnerable and lonely and may want to discuss details of their victimization with someone who is sensitive to their concerns. Still others may need more information about the criminal justice process. |
